The Suicide Grief Support Forum Board is here to provide information and support to anyone whose life has been touched by suicide. This board is an outreach project of the Parents of Suicides (POS) and Friends & Families of Suicides (FFOS) Internet Communities. The Board began on October 2, 2002. The forum recognizes that many individuals who struggle with suicidal thoughts may also be battling addiction, which can complicate their mental health journey.
Members often share resources on various treatment options, including therapy and support groups, to help those affected by suicide or struggling with suicidal ideation. The board also provides information on how substance abuse, including issues related to methadone dosage, can impact mental health and increase suicide risk. Recognizing the link between addiction and suicide, the forum offers a safe space for discussing the challenges of recovery and the importance of proper treatment in preventing self-harm. Additionally, the community supports those who have lost loved ones to suicide related to substance abuse, offering guidance on navigating the complex emotions associated with such losses.
