Sending and Reading Private Messages

There are a couple of ways to create/send a private message. Note that you cannot send a private message until you post at least 3 'regular' messages/posts (this helps reduce spammers who might register just to send private messages to everyone.)

You can click on a user's login name in any message they created (or in the list of messages on the board), which brings you to their 'Profile Page". In the second box, there are two options for sending messages: to their email address (if they have entered one), or a 'PM" (private message). Select your choice, enter the subject and message, and send it with the "Submit" button.

You can also use your "User Control Panel" to send out a message. Just find thier user name, enter the subject and message, and send it with the "Submit" button.

As for reading your private messages, the main page has an grey box (just under the red box) where it shows if you have any new messages (right next to the "User Control Panel"). Click on that link, and you'll see private messages sent to you. To look at private messages you have already read, just click on the "User Control Panel" , and off you go.

I'm having trouble sending PMs tonight, though they have been working fine until now. My replies are sitting in the outbox. Any tips? Thanks!

I just realized I have a message in OUTBOX as well. Let me get on it, hopefully we can solve it quick!!

Mine eventually "sent", Jan. Even though the person said they were received, they still showed in the "outbox" for a time (I think). Confusing!

I haven't heard anything about if it was fixed or what exactly was happening. Anyhew, my outbox is empty as well so maybe it was like a clogged drain or something. Hope the issue is resolved, thanks for your patience.

Mine was there for days without my realizing it. Hopefully it was some glitch and will never happen again. My poor recipient will think - man it sure does take her a long time to respond. Oh well, xing fingers it stays fixed.
