Grief After Suicide Retreat #25: Spring 2012
Week-end of May 18, 2012


The POS-FFOS retreat is a week-end away from the rest of the world, in Columbia, Tennessee. It's a time to meet with others who know what it's like to experience a unique tragedy, and it's a time to share, discuss, remember, and hopefully find a bit of peace. Anyone who grieves the death of anyone who died by suicide is invited.

LODGING

There are several hotels at Exit 46 off of I-65. (A list of hotels and phone numbers will be provided on request.)

The BUTTERFLY DORM is available at no cost to ladies who ask to reserve a bed. It's basically a section of the basement, set up with beds. (There's also a bathroom and shower in the Butterfly Dorm.)

The Butterfly Dorm is not as luxurious as the Hilton, but most of the ladies who stay in it enjoy being in the dorm with the others. There are 10 beds in the dorm.

MEALS

Lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday are catered
Serve yourself breakfast is set up for guests staying in the Butterfly Dorm. All other meals are on your own.
All catered meals are eaten in the Butterfly Pavilion.
Note: Thursday, before the retreat officially begins, everyone who can meets at Cracker Barrel (at Exit 46) for dinner.

TRANSPORTATION:


Columbia, Tennessee is about 50 miles south of Nashville, Tennessee, a few miles off of I-65 at Exit 46. Airport code is BNA.

ACTIVITIES

    Some of the scheduled activities are listed below.

    - Reading of the names on the International Suicide Memorial Wall (Thursday evening after Cracker Barrel)
    - First Timer Orientation (Friday morning)
    - Memorial Display Sharing (Friday afternoon)
    - Getting Acquainted Activities (Friday night)
    - Sharing Circles (Saturday morning and Saturday afternoon)
    - Peace Fire (Saturday night)

COST

There is no cost for the retreat itself. Each person who attends, however, must send in $60 to help with catering costs. (Your registration is complete when your catering money has been received.)

RESTRICTIONS

No minor children
No animals or pets

REGISTRATION

We have only 3 weeks for you to register if you want to attend the retreat.
