I read of one person's online support strategy, in a suicide bereavement newsletter.

Facing isolation, in a rural OR big city sense, a woman (who lost her son) and her sister, set up their own private facebook page (I assume that they were separated by distance or one or both worked full-time), and would encourage/commiserate with each other, using video links, photos, words, recording minor and major activities - going for walks, staying in bed, the things that would get them through the day, blurt out the crappy bits and joyful bits too - all the 'minor' things that 'major' in surviving. It was very meaningful to the woman in the article and fundamental to her on-going recovery.

I thought this might help someone here. (Any bloody port in a storm, I say!)
