why I chose the name pegasus

My dad liked to create games and stories, my fondest memory with him was sitting on our front porch at night looking at the moon (me leaning into his side with my forearms on his lap); he told me there was a big monster in the sky who ate cookies, and that the moon was a cookie. He said every night the monster took another bite until it was gone, then he'd go to Acme and buy a new one to hang in the sky.

The pegasus story was not as fun, but it stuck with me all the same. Does everyone remember when Mobil gas stations used the pegasus as their logo? Whenever I was in the car with him and my dad needed gas, if we went to Mobil he'd tell me the car would fly because we got the gas at Mobil, and I'd look at the logo and imagine the car taking off into the sky. I've associated my father with the pegasus ever since!

My grown daughter and I are BIG pegasus and unicorn people! Magical magical wonderful and full of promise. I can easily see our loved ones soaring through the skies upon the pegasus! Makes me smile. Thank you for sharing the origin of your name here.
