It is my birthday today. It is much better than last year.
I spent some time this morning remembering/imagining past birthdays. I would go into Liam's room to waken him ( as I did every morning), and before he would open his eyes, he would turn over, snake his arms around my neck, and groggily say "happy birthday mum". The warmth of the memory carried me through the day. I announced to everyone who asked I was, that it was my birthday. I got so many birthday wishes. My. Irthday is less lonely this year, and Liam and I made that happen.
I can't believe he's gone from me. " happy birthday mum"

I'm so glad your birthday was better than you thought it would be. Dreading mine next Wednesday the gap where Nik's card would sit seems massive and its all I see
