We used to chat on facebook pretty much every night. Kathy is a twin so a lot of times I would be chatting with the two of them in separate conversations at the same time. I laughed all the time about how similar they were but they saw themselves as being so different.Neither one of them knew the other one was saying the same thing. Kathy lived in NY and I'm in Denver. When she was going to sleep She would always call me a name from 'the little Rascals' but she would say 'gnight Panky (Spanky) and I would call her Buckwheat or Darla. She would also call us all names from the Waltons like Gnight John Boy, g'night Mary Ellen.
This past December was their 50th birthday. Kathy's twin decided to go to New York to surprise Kathy and made all the arrangements. The next day Kathy told me she had just made arrangements to come out her to surprise her twin. The only thing I could count on is that the other twin would probably have a party for herself before she left. So Kathy came and surprised her twin at the party and spent the next day with her. Then her twin turned around the next day and flew to NY to surprise Kathy when she got back there. It was a lot of fun and left both of them scratching their heads for a few days.I almost talked Kathy out of it but I'm glad I didn't because that was the first time in years that we spent time together without anyone else in person. It was the first and only time Kathy ever took a trip by herself. That was the last time I spent face to face time with Kathy alone. We saw each other again in January but with other family. I'm glad we had the time alone together. We were just like kids. |

I remember my son's first day of hockey. He was only about 4 years old. I remember all the kids on the ice and the had them lift their sticks over their heads and every last kid fell. It was the cutest thing I've ever seen. He was such an amazing hocky player. I loved watching him play.
This sounds silly but I remember a night just a couple months ago when he and I were talking late at night and I fell asleep in his bed with him. My 16 year old son let me sleep in his bed with him. I absolutely loved it. RIP my precious angel.
