Re: My Introduction

Hi Annette Again, I am so very sorry for the loss of your dear daughter. I am sorry that you must know this suffering. I can remember counting the days, then the weeks, then the months, and now, years. We lost our son, Rory, aged 19, five years ago. He was a wonderful boy. I don't come on here often...

Re: My Introduction

Annette, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear daughter. The three month mark can be very tough. All we have are our stories. I remember how hard it was to speak it in the beginning. I hope that sharing has helped you a little. You are welcome to write here. Anything on any day and in anyway. This...

Re: Oct6

Here's to shooting stars, plans that can't catch a breeze. Here's to ashes that need your company a little longer, maybe a lot longer - only you will know. Here's to being scared - you can actually do lots in this life despite some fearful moments, even if they stretch to days at a time. Here's to y...

Grief Tears

....they're big bloody things. Defying gravity, teetering on my eyelids, dropping at the last possible moment - feeling as though they are going to soak, drown, anything in their way.

Grief tears.

They deserve a bow.

Blessings to all tonight.

Re: Nearly 5 years ...

Heard, cmarie. How else is a broken heart supposed to sound?
I am thinking of you and your family, and of Liam.
It's been so long - but it also seems like yesterday....

Re: does it ever end?

It's always there, isn't it? Sometimes the orbit brings it closer....and straining to lean away from it is counter-productive but I reckon it is natural to build up a bit of 'pressure' in resisting before letting the dam wall break and having a cry....or making some kind of resolve to try something ...

Re: years.

Dear sweetheart, thank you for sharing your story. It must have been very hard. What a sad sad loss for you. I am very sorry that depression has become debilitating, but as you can guess, the aftermath of such a loss can be quite difficult to navigate. Many folk here have given counselling a chance....

Re: I miss my mum so much

I'm so sorry for your loss. To have such a loving daughter - your mum must have been very special. She still is. Gone is not gone, is it? I am sure you are caring for her right now. The heart and head are out of sync for a while - I drifted in and out of reality for a while. That's normal. Take care...

Kerry , my heart goes out to you in losing your dear son, Calum.( My son, aged 19, died nearly 5 years ago) I can understand how hard every minute is for you right now...well, since your son died. I can't fix anything, but I can let you know that it is only required that you get through this minute,...
